What is Philosophical Counseling?

A space to think deeply about your life with someone trained to engage with questions about meaning, identity, and how to live. It’s not therapy and it’s not coaching. It’s a slower, deeper kind of conversation for when something important in your life still doesn’t make sense.

This might be for you if…

  • you’ve already done a lot of work on yourself
  • your life has improved, but something still feels unresolved
  • you want depth, not another quick fix
  • you’re trying to understand what’s really going on in your life

Questions we might explore

  • What kind of life do I actually want to be living?
  • What do I value, and am I living in alignment with it?
  • How should I understand what I’m going through?
  • What kind of person do I want to become?

What this work offers

  • A space to think through your life without being rushed toward solutions
  • New ways of understanding yourself and your situation
  • Support in staying with questions that actually matter

How it works

We start with a free zoom conversation to see whether this kind of work feels like a good fit.

If it does, I offer a three-session philosophical counseling package for $600. Most people use the sessions over the course of about three months, though we can adjust the timing to fit your life.

What these conversations are like

Philosophical counseling is not about being lectured at or handed a formula.

It’s a real conversation between two people thinking carefully together about the questions at the center of your life.

Along the way, we may draw on ideas from philosophers across traditions-but always in service of your actual circumstances.
